Is this a dream?

The immigrant child me would’ve never imagined that I would one day have a vacation-to-Cabo kind of family.

We came to an all inclusive hotel and the resort was so beautiful! The view from our hotel room and then from the pool was stunning. The pool had shallow end where our toddler could comfortably play. The flight to and from Cabo went beautifully. Our toddler fell asleep before take off. I would like to say I had some secret, magical touch that made this happen, but there really isn’t anything.

I guess the only tip would be to play a lot with your kid at the airport (walk around, up and down escalators/stairs) so that they’re tired by the time they’re in the airplane.

We got to try basically all the restaurants that we wanted to try. The trip was honestly very smooth except for meal times. Junie would not eat anything that the restaurant had to offer. He would only eat French fries and tortilla chips (occasionally pancakes at the breakfast buffet). Thank goodness the room service had pasta because he ATE THAT UP. He would basically eat nothing at the restaurants and then come back to the room to eat warmed up pasta. He just ate a bunch of crackers at restaurants (at least we didn’t do TV time during meal time though).

I can’t wait to travel more! At first, I felt like it was a waste of time and money since he won't remember it. But then, I realized it’s important for me to make memories and create experiences for my life with my family. Junie will grow up to make memories with his future family. So, for now, I need to stop calculating so much and just do it!
